Electrical Contracts Manager
Location: Devon (projects across the South West)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + Package
A well-established and growing M&E Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team in Devon. The role offers the opportunity to work on a strong portfolio of public sector projects, including new hospitals, healthcare facilities, and prisons.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing electrical packages from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple electrical contracts across live projects
- Active involvement in pre-construction, including tender reviews, cost planning, value engineering, and programme input
- Managing procurement, subcontractors, and site teams
- Liaising closely with design teams, clients, consultants, and main contractors
- Ensuring all works comply with health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Supporting commissioning, testing, and final handover
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager (or Senior Electrical Project Manager) within an M&E contracting environment
- Strong pre-construction experience on medium to large-scale projects
- Experience delivering public sector projects, ideally within healthcare, custodial, or other highly regulated environments
- Excellent technical knowledge of electrical building services
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence
